How much space should you leave in front of a buffet?
Before choosing a buffet, measure the available space. As a general guideline, leave at least 24 inches between your dining table and the buffet so you can comfortably open the doors and drawers when the chairs are pushed in. If the area is also used as a walkway, 36 inches will make it easier to move around.
What's the difference between a buffet and a hutch?
